ClassesUSA Acquires SUCCEED Magazine
NEW YORK, August 1, 2001 -- ClassesUSA, Inc., lifelong learning multi-media company, today announced the acquisition of SUCCEED Magazine, The Magazine for Continuing Education and Career Opportunities. The acquisition further solidifies ClassesUSA, Inc's. position as a complete, comprehensive resource for lifelong learners. The terms and conditions of the acquisition were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close by October 2001.
With studies declaring that students 25 years of age and older now account for at least 50 percent of all U.S. college enrollments, SUCCEED Magazine has met the needs of the continuing education market since 1995. The quarterly publication provides timely content and useful information, specifically geared toward the interests of adults recommitting themselves to education. SUCCEED is available in bookstores, newsstands, and retail outlets.
The acquisition of SUCCEED Magazine further adds to the multitude of continuing education resources that ClassesUSA provides adult learners. Through ClassesUSA's online resource, ClassesUSA.com, adult learners have the ability to search, find, and register for the classes of their choice. Ninety million adults approximately 46 percent of the adult population participated in some form of continuing education in 1999. "The addition of SUCCEED Magazine to ClassesUSA's properties gives lifelong learners yet another outlet in which to find the continuing education information they need. This acquisition also positions us as a leader in continuing education marketplace" states Luciano Rammairone, Chairman/CEO of ClassesUSA.
