The University of New England is an independent university with two distinctive campuses on the coast of southern Maine. The main campus in Biddeford has more than 4,000 feet of ocean frontage. UNE has more than 40 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including Maine’s only medical school, which is also New England’s only College of Osteopathic Medicine. The Masters of Science in Education distance program has proudly served students for ten years. In that time, the program has graduated just under 1700 students. Thus the program brings with it significant experience in delivering quality, flexible, and practical learning experiences to its students. The University of New England has once again been ranked as one of the "Best Universities" in the North that offer "a full range of undergraduate and master’s programs” in the 2007 edition of "America’s Best Colleges" from U.S. News & World Report.
